2023 California Rosé
Our winemaker, Patrick Saboe, tells us he uses the traditional Tavelian method of pressing whole clusters to make our Rosé. We have no idea what that is, and we can’t find anything about it on the internet. What we can tell you is this outstanding wine is a unique blend of Tempranillo, Mourvèdre and splash of Grenache. The result is a dry, crisp European-style wine with layers of strawberries that should please a whole lotta folks.
2023 Sauvignon Blanc Wildwoods Vineyard Sonoma Valley AVA
Wildwood Vineyards climbs between 450 and 2000 feet up the Mayacamas Range above the Sonoma Valley between Glen Ellen and Kenwood. Steeped in tradition and lore, Louis Kunde purchased the vineyard in 1904 and for more than a century, the vines have been tended by five generations of the Kunde family. Our California-style Sauvignon Blanc has leans a little French Sancerre with a bit of Semillon added to the blend.
2022 Chardonnay Rodgers Creek Vineyard Sonoma Coast AVA
Our biggest challenge to blend…too much oak, too much butter vs. too fruit forward, too acidic. We want balance and we want it now. New barrels to oaky, neutral barrels to much fruit and acid. Our balance has become once-used barrels. The result is a wine with soft fruit upon entry, a smooth midpalate, and a light vanilla oak finish. Perfect.
2022 Pinot Noir Rodgers Creek Vineyard Sonoma Coast AVA
We love our Rodgers Creek Chardonnay, so why not source our Pinot Noir from the same vineyard. Nestled in the next row from our Chardonnay block comes this amazing fruit. Each year, we add a touch of Syrah– just enough to add some amazing depth. We’re not into tasting notes, just get ready for a deep and rich wine with a soft smooth fruity berry finish.
2022 Syrah Hyde Vineyard Los Carneros AVA Napa Valley
Larry Hyde founded and planted the 179-acre vineyard in 1979. Larry and his family have since cemented their family name and reputation as premier growers of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Carneros AVA. They also farm a very small amount of Syrah and we have it!. Our Hyde Vineyard Syrah is built around dark red fruit aromatics and mouth-coating fine tannins blending with just a little Grenache and Mourvèdre.
2022 Bordeaux Blend “Rim to Rim” Napa Valley AVA
This year’s Bordeaux Blend ended up 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot, 2% Petite Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec.
2021 Cabernet Napa Valley AVA
Napa Valley has enjoyed several standout vintages in the last decade. The 2021 vintage for Napa Valley is already proving itself a classic. The balance of refined structure with genuine complexity and pleasure represents an ideal in Cabernet Sauvignon. We did not need to do much blending this wine adding small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petite Verdot.
2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard Napa Valley AVA
Black amethyst in the glass, this wine unfolds with aromas of blackberry and boysenberry giving way to the delicate fragrance of violet and warm, spicy cardamom. On the palate, the wine begins to weave its spell, beginning with a resurgence of blackberry and seamlessly transitioning to black pepper, all framed by lush tannins and a full-bodied structure. A luxurious, lasting dark chocolate finish lingers on the palate.
